DESCRIPTION
 
Inspired by the rich traditions of Italy, Saison is Pista's meticulously crafted dark roast blend, exclusively designed for the perfect espresso experience. Saison guarantees a delightful and hassle-free brewing process, whether you prefer to enjoy it as a standalone espresso or with the addition of milk. The exquisite blend of Saison consists of two distinct coffees sourced from Brazil and Guatemala. Grown at altitudes of 1000 meters (Brazil) and 1400 meters (Guatemala), these beans are carefully hand-picked when perfectly ripe and meticulously sorted using flotation and manual selection to remove any overripe or underripe cherries. Subsequently, the cherries undergo mechanical depulping and are dry-fermented for 24 to 36 hours, followed by a slow and even drying process on patios for 7 to 10 days. This classic profile, coupled with the dark roast, presents Saison as a comforting year-round choice, delivering delectable notes of caramel and chocolate with a lusciously syrupy texture that perfectly complements espresso and lattes.

Pista was born when Max, founder, rode his impressive café-bike through the streets of Montreal. The specialty coffee enthusiast thus made himself known through several events here and there, to finally decide to open a first Pista branch in the company of his two co-founders, Julien and Alex. At Pista, the team is passionate about coffee, but also about relationships with its community and collaborations with other small businesses here.
