A specialty coffee has an aromatic complexity (recognized aromatic impressions when tasting this coffee), specific growing and harvesting conditions. The micro-roasters pay particular attention to the entire transformation process, thereby offering you coffee with very few flaws.

DESCRIPTION

As one of ten children, Ruberto was raised growing coffee alongside his siblings. He considers coffee farming a way of life, not just a job. It comes as no surprise that he is now continuing the tradition with his wife and three kids. He believes that relationships are the key to making the coffee industry sustainable and is committed to investing the time and effort needed so the generations to come will prosper while continuing the tradition.

The department of Narino’s particular geographical location —almost at the crossroads of the Andes and the Equator—, makes it a great area for coffee growing. The 3 varieties of Ruberto’s coffee, Colombia, Castillo and F4, have all been released by CENICAFE (Centro Nacional de Investigaciones de Café) in order to boost productivity and resist coffee leaf rust, which made a lot of damage in Latin America.
