Géogène
Géogène's mission is to educate people about specialty coffee by offering products that are ethical and tasty. They specialize in light roasting to get maximum flavor and complexity in the cup. Their bags are 100% compostable and they buy coffee directly from cooperatives or microlots.
What's Géogène's Story?
Géogène was created in synergy with Tassé - Café de Quartier in eastern Sherbrooke. Guillaume, who has been a barista for 7 years, was increasingly interested in 3rd wave roasting. With Samuel's help, they decided to start the project in the garage on a mini roaster (454g). After having great success, they decided to go through CaféVrac to rent their roasting equipment to start supplying other Sherbrooke merchants.
Since January 2020, they have a new partner, Pascal, who has been a loyal customer of the company since the very beginning. They decided to open their coffee roasting shop, which led them to be able to focus even more on the quality and selection of their coffees.
